Gut friendly Cauliflower pizza recipe

To prepare the base -

Ingredients

1 large cauliflower, grated and trimmed

2 medium eggs (beaten) (flax eggs ) if you are vegan

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

Salt and pepper

100gm ground almonds (optional)

Ground flaxseeds optional


Pizza sauce

200 g tomato purée

1 onion

1 garlic clove chopped

1 tsp olive oil


Toppings

Any preferred vegetable, chicken, vegan cheese if prefer vegan.


  1. First, steam the grated cauliflower for 4-5 minutes, then dry it for a few minutes, and then you need to push out as much water out of it as you can. Put into a sieve and underneath a bowl to push out the water.

  2. Mix other ingredients (for base ) in a fresh clean bowl and make a base of preferred size in a baking sheet.

  3. Bake in the oven for almost 15 minutes until almost done

  4. In the meantime, you can prepare the sauce in a tsp of olive oil frying onions garlic then tomato purée and simmer till it’s sauce consistency. Season with salt

  5. Take the base out of the oven put sauce and vegetables and cheese you like and back in the oven for 7-10 mins max.
